It's hot. It's been a long summer. It's times like these that our patience can be tested. Funny enough, there are a few things I came across this week in my online travels that were like small little messages for compassion. Maybe I was looking for them, or maybe they found me...but that's reason #165 of why I love yoga: it gives us the gift to find those small things, to have a moment of awe, and remind ourselves of life's pleasures...even in the simplest of actions (and even in 100 degree heat!).
Summer Reading & Seva Series - Join Us!
By Anonymous , In lil omm events , seva , summer reading , 7:53 PM
The first summer reading series took place today, and in honor of that, wanted to remind all of you about this exciting event taking place at lil omm!
How does it work? Like any other book club, we'll discuss each book. But then we'll add a lil omm twist: experiential exercises to deepen the application of the principles in each book to help you truly enlighten and simplify your daily life.
Who will lead the way? Carolyn Butcher, an experienced yoga teacher, facilitator and executive coach will lead the sessions.
What does it cost? $10 for each session, for a great cause. Our summer reading series has a focus - SEVA! Seva in Sanskrit means service. We have chosen Citizen Effect as our charity of choice. All class fees will be donated to Citizen Effect to serve communities in need.
